Yesterday was probably the last good day to go riding this year. It is December already and temperatures are dropping. It was freezing outside, but at least the road was still dry. What happens next? Time will be spend on the winter trainer. Which I realised is not such a bad idea.
I been tweaking the last couple of months my bike to get a nice more aerodynamic and comfortable position. Which is really difficult to do if you have to make an adjustment, then hit the road and ride to feel how it feels and then adjust again and repeat. There are so many little things that I discovered that one can adjust. But this all became so much easier this week. I caved and bought myself a winter trainer and one of the best things to do is to use it as a adjustment tool to get the right fit. No more hoping this setting will be ok. But more of a adjust, try it out immediately, adjust again until it all fits.
So the last ride was awesome and felt really good. I used the trainer the night before to make the necessary adjustments and I think I have a near to perfect fit. I took it for a spin yesterday on the road and it was just fantastic and comfy.
Now it is all setup at home. In the mean time I have a sweat cover, new Tacx winter trainer tyre and I swapped the Commercial Law book I had for a raiser in the front for a proper raiser from Tacx. Next I want to figure out how I can add the iPad for entertainment too it. But that will follow.
