Winter Victories

Especially in winter one needs victories and one needs motivation. This morning I had one of those. It is getting colder in Europe and the days are getting shorter. Last week was ok but this week we hit the lower single digit figures. But it is Wednesday and on Wednesday I get up at 5:45 and I go swim. No matter what. Driving to the pool in the dark and seeing the temperature hovering at 2 degrees Celsius made me wonder what it would feel like in the pool. Luckily  it is heated at 29 degrees and moving from changing room to pool area was ok. After the swim I thought to myself. “This was actually awesome, this has been a huge step and there is nothing stopping you from continuing doing this. Small little victory!”
